Tibetan Educators Receive Workshop on SEE learning and Cognitive based Compassion Training

ATWS Dharamsala, May 24, 2023: A five-day workshop on SEE learning and cognitive-based Compassion Training organized by the Education Department is underway at the Administrative Training and Welfare Society, Reception Centre, Dharamsala. ATWS is facilitating the workshop with the venue facilities and services.
The workshop was inaugurated with a welcome address by the Education Council Director of the Education Department, Mrs. Tenzin Pema, and keynote speeches by Education Kalon, CTA, Mrs. Tharlam Dolma, and Training Facilitators Geshe Lobsang Tenzin Negi, Professor, and Mr.Tsondue Samphel, Senior Instructor cum International Coordinator of the SEE Learning from Emory University.
Professor Samdhong Rinpoche is gracing the participants on its 2nd day in the afternoon with his insightful talk on the Four Commitments of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Around twenty-five Tibetan Educators, including School Heads and Teachers from all four autonomous School administrative bodies in India and Nepal; and also a faculty member from Central Tibetan Higher Studies, Sarah are attending this workshop.
In continuation to a series of SEE Learning Facilitator Training courses held in the preceding years, this workshop is aimed to improve facilitating skills of the participants for an effective implementation of Socio-Emotional Ethical Learning in Tibetan Schools as envisaged by His Holiness the Dalai Lama for a harmonious human society in this increasingly interdependent world.
During the course of the workshop for the next five days, there will be thorough deliberation on various important aspects of SEE learning to enable the participants to promote a compassionate classroom teaching environment in Tibetan Schools.
