Office of the Auditor General Convenes Annual General Meeting in Dharamshala

ATWS Dharamshala, Jan 8, 2025: The Annual General Meeting of the Office of the Auditor General, CTA, from Jan 7 to 11, 2025, is underway at the Administrative Training and Welfare Society, Dharamshala. ATWS is facilitating the five-day event with venue and service facilities.

The objective of the AGM is to provide a platform for the auditors to discuss Audit Procedures and principles, CTA Rules and Regulations, Kashag’s Guidelines, resolve audit-related problems, and enable effective Audit Report Writing.

The Opening Ceremony was graced by Additional Secretary Mr. Thinley Chomphel la with a team of Officials from the OAG Dharamshala.

Around thirty-nine staff members from branch offices across India and Nepal attended the event.

OAG Addl. Secretary Mr. Thinley la presented a detailed Overview of the program schedule for the current Annual General Meeting as well as the overall status of the actions taken against the resolutions passed in the last AGM held in 2023, in the absence of the Auditor General for the event due to some personal reasons.

Following that, OAG Joint Secretary Mr. Shedhen la read out the written statement of the Auditor General’s keynote address while OAG Joint Secretary Mr. Kunchok Wangdue la briefed the key points, thus setting the momentum for an effective Meeting.

The Auditor General had advised the participants to use best judgment assessment while preparing audit reports and encouraged them to leverage artificial intelligence in audit processes to support the administration.

Over the course of the Meeting, there will be various sessions of group discussions and presentations to draw suggestions to improve overall aspects of auditing.
