New audit staff receive Induction Training on the Audit Manual and Tally, CTA’s Rules & Regulations in Dharamshala

ATWS Dharamshala, Oct 9, 2024: The Office of the Auditor General, Central Tibetan Administration, convened an eleven-day Training on the Audit Manual and Tally, CTA’s Rules & Regulations, from 9 to 19 October 2024 at the Administrative Training and Welfare Society, Dharamshala. ATWS is facilitating the training with the venue and service facilities.

The Training was inaugurated in the gracious presence of Chief Guest Auditor General Mr. Lhakpa Gyaltsen la, accompanied by his team from the Office of Auditor General (OAG), CTA.Around ten audit recruits from branch Audit Offices in Dickyiling, South India, and Nepal are attending this Training.

Chief Guest Auditor General Mr. Lhakpa Gyaltsen la, in his keynote speech, emphasised the importance of having a clear understanding of one’s role as an auditor, which is primarily to support the Administration. He urged them to gain a deeper understanding of the systems and processes with a broader outlook whenever they gauge the efficiency of an organisation in their career ahead and said that using one’s own discernment and wisdom in rectifying systemic errors rather than limiting one’s role as a mere mistake pointer would indeed help fulfil the function of the OAG as a watchdog of the CTA in a true sense. He therefore advised the participants to engage in interactive learning and clarify all their doubts during the upcoming days and make optimal use of the training to be able to serve for the greater benefit of the Administration in future.

Additional Secretary of OAG,Mr. Thinley Chomphel la, while introducing the aims & Objectives of the Training and its upcoming programs and topics, also stressed the importance of continuous learning, embracing adaptability, and sharing knowledge by the participants to achieve excellence and strengthen the Transparency and Accountability of CTA and the whole community to  realize the worth and goal of OAG for the holistic benefit of all.  After that a self-introductory round by the participants took place.

The Opening session then concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Kunchok Wangdue la, Joint Secretary of OAG, where he extended his gratitude to all the concerned individuals, and organizations who contributed to making the training possible while summarizing the key points advised by the two Speakers.

Mr. S.C Verma, Education Arena (CDAc, Tally) 301. Civil lines, Dharamsala, and officials from the Office of the Auditor General, CTA, primarily Additional Secretary Mr. Thinley Chomphel la, Joint Secretary Mr. Kunchok Wangdue la and Joint Secretary Mr. Tenzin Shedhen la amongst others are leading the Training.

Over the course of the training, the Organizer aims to introduce Tally Prime, cover Inventory Management and GST (Tally), Audit Receipts/Payment/Sales/Purchase, Income & expenditure, and Balance Sheet. FCRA, Indian Income Tax, CTA Budget and Rules and Regulation.
