Induction Training to New Recruits of CTA Inaugurated at ATWS Dharamshala

ATWS Dharamshala, November 4, 2024: This morning, the Public Service Commission of CTA inaugurated a three-week Induction Training course from November 4 to 23, 2024 for around thirty-three recruits at the Administrative Training and Welfare Society (ATWS), Dharamshala. ATWS is facilitating the training with venue facilities and services.

The Chairman of the PSC, Former Finance Minister Mr. Karma Yeshi la, graced the Opening Ceremony as the Chief Guest, along with PSC Secretary Mr. Tenzin Legdup la.

The training aims to familiarize, facilitate, and motivate new employees to learn the complex nature of the CTA job to enable them to perform optimally.

Mr. Virender Sharma, Project Director of Himachal Government, Ms. Surabhi Pandey, Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Public Administration, Mr. Ashish Johri, Principal Consultant- SYNERGIE HR, International Certified EI, and NLP Professional, Jaipur, Mr. Topa la and Mr. Sonam Gyaltsen la, Professors at College for higher Tibetan studies, Mr. Naga Sangay Tendhar la and Ven. Geshe Lhakdor la, LTWA, Dharamsala, and eighteen other CTA officials with expertise in diverse fields are leading the training.

PSC Secretary, Mr. Legdup La, urged the participants to a regular attendance at all the sessions until serious matters occur and also stressed on frankness in clarifying one’s doubts while briefing the rules & regulations and the training program schedule.

Following that, PSC Chairman, Mr. Karma Yeshi la, in his keynote address, spoke on the significant role that CTA staff has in upholding the present democratic Administration that Tibetans received as a legacy from His Holiness the Dalai Lama after his complete retirement from temporal leadership in 2011. He encouraged the participants to improve their capacity to the utmost level to serve the CTA, that in itself is a great fortune.

He implored the participants to leverage the digital resources available around them for their self-growth to assume diverse roles, considering the nature of CTA job with frequent transfer systems. Furthermore, most importantly, he advised them to pay serious attention to developing the right attitude of inculcating the core inner values of Sincerity, Self-confidence, and Sacrifice, for these can impact one’s work significantly even though these values are immeasurable.

The opening session ended with a vote of thanks by the Training Coordinator, Ms. Tsundue la, who acknowledged all the individuals and organizations involved.

Over the course of the training, diverse topics ranging from Official letter writing in Tibetan and English, Project proposals, Annual Budgeting, SEE Learning and Soft Skill Training, Tibetan Advocacy, FCRA Rules and regulations, Basic Accounting, Tibetan Charter, Important Tibetan Terminology, History, MS Word and Excel, Conflict Resolution techniques will be covered.
